Russell Guy

In 1978, Russell wrote What’s Rangoon to You is Grafton to Me, a radio play repeatedly broadcast on ABC Radio National and the title of a collection of short stories (Imprint 1991). In 1992, he adapted it for the stage at the Metro Theatre, Brisbane.

Russell worked as a journalist and won an Australian Record Industry Award (ARIA) in 1984 as producer for Coloured Stone’s Human Love. Baptised Among Crocodiles: A History of the Daintree Aboriginal Mission 1940 – 1962 was published by the Queensland Government in 2000 and republished by Boolarong Press in 2015.

His novel Dry Crossing, published by Boolarong Press in March 2015, received many positive reviews. He has written screenplays and lives in central Queensland.
