The story of the Devil’s Marble that was placed over the Central Australian grave of John Flynn – ‘Flynn of the Inland’. It is set against the background of the inland loved by Flynn, and includes the struggle of an Aboriginal tribe in having the Marble removed from the grave and returned to its original position.
The book is set in its historical and geographic context and brings out the value of Flynn’s work to the present generation, depicting the importance of the man in life and death.
