Angel Christo is an author, filmmaker and teacher. Ordinarily writing screenplays, this is her first book.
In addition to her Bachelor of Film and Screen Media Production, Post Graduate Certificate in Directing and Screenwriting and Post Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education, she has also studied psychology at USQ and conducted extensive research while writing The Code including interviews, surveys and discussions with a variety of females and males of all ages and cultured backgrounds.
Christo says her purpose is to educate and entertain her audience and readers. Her motivation for writing The Code was to spread ‘the code’ of women everywhere to equal the playing field and benefit men in gaining some insight, perspective and a better understanding of women. Angel hopes that this will improve men’s confidence and communication with the opposite sex and thus assist them in creating longer lasting relationships.
The concept was conceived during research for a screenplay called Through His Eyes; a screenplay written from a male’s perspective. Angel adopted a male entourage and became one of the boys ‘Angelo’ for a year in the name of research. The Code was originally written as a rebuttal to He’s Just Not That Into You for her male entourage, Angel dedicated the book to them as a result.
She currently resides in Canada working on North Hollywood film and television productions while screenwriting on the side.
