Judith Hamilton has a long association with art worlds and a special interest in community artists groups. In 2015 she gained a PhD in Art History at the University of Queensland for her research into the historical role of artists groups in the Brisbane community. Judith is a past President and Life Member of Sculptors Queensland and at present is President of Brisbane Visual Arts Community – an organisation she helped found in 2011 with the aim of providing support for artists groups. She lives in Indooroopilly and is well known in Brisbane for her distinctive ceramic sculptures of animals.
