Laurie Pointing is a retired senior Queensland police officer with a country background. As a serving police officer he served in many locations throughout the State of Queensland both as a uniformed officer, member of the criminal investigation branch, stock investigation squad, police prosecutor and administrator.
In retirement Laurie spends time travelling through the outback, reading and writing poetry. He is a lover of country music and the sport of cricket. He is a proud Queenslander.
