Laurie Woods AM DFC LdH is a Tasmanian boy who achieved much to become an aircrew bomb aimer and complete a full tour of operations among the heroic crews of Bomber Command.
On his last mission Laurie reached such great heights of valour in order to save his crew members from certain tragedy that he was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross.
