Witch and Wombat are best friends and wildlife warriors. Their quiet woodland home has experienced an invasion of noisy and destructive humans. The woodlands are being destroyed by heavy machinery leaving many animals homeless. Witch calls a  night time meeting in the woods to discuss how they can stop the invasion. Witch has a magical plan to demonstrate the  importance of trees. A world without trees, even for one day, is a shock for the world. Do the people learn?

The illustrations include numerous animals, many more than mentioned in the text. These are for children to find and identify.
