In 2019 I had a visit from my granddaughter accompanied by three schoolfriends. While sharing the sauna in my resort, Shannie asked me to tell the story of how I met my husband, Tim, as she knew it was worth telling. I started to tell the girls and every time I paused they said: “Go on, then what happened?” fascinated by the events that unfolded. With encouragement from my grandson I wrote my life story.
My husband died of cancer in 2013 and in 2017 I moved into Palm Lake Resort in Toowoomba where I currently reside.
