Murru’s Tale

Little Murru is different from the other bandicoots, she has no dhun (tail). Tired of being teased, she sets off on a brave journey to ask Biame, the Sky Father, for help.

Along the way, Murru digs, paddles and climbs her way through the bust. But what she discovers at the top of Bimir Mountain is far more powerful than a tail, it’s her own strength.

Told with warmth and Wiradjuri language, Murru’s tale is a beautiful story of courage, culture and finding pride in who you are.
