Troy Mayne is an underwater photographer, photojournalist and author, based in Cairns, near the Great Barrier Reef. Born in Western Australia, he joined the Australian Army, serving for ten years. He has lived and travelled extensively all around Australia and the world. He served in East Timor and Iraq.
He has been diving and photographing the underwater world for many years. His images have appeared in numerous magazines, books, newspapers, advertisements and stock libraries around the world.
This is Troy’s second children’s book following from his first success with the hit book in this series Sorry Wally.
Troy is passionate about the preservation of our oceans and its inhabitants. Troy hopes that children will develop a strong and positive sense of morals from reading this book. He also hopes that Wally and his friends will inspire children to help to protect the oceans and its amazing creatures.
